| Synopsis |
This conference will focus on remodelling in cardiovascular physiology and disease, highlighting current understanding of underlying mechanisms, new research directions, and therapeutic strategies. Topics under review will include smooth muscle remodelling, the extracellular matrix, endothelial progenitor cells, calcium signalling, reactive oxygen and phospholipids, the renin-angiotensin system, inflammation and thrombosis, microRNAs, heart failure, engineered tissues. Featured will be plenary lectures from leading investigators, presentations from selected abstracts, and poster sessions covering any of the topics. Participation of younger scientists is particularly welcomed and there will be ample opportunity for informal discussions in an attractive environment. |
